Our Clinical Research Team

The CCRN research team is made up of registered nurses and physicians. The co-founders and team leaders each possess over 30 years of clinical research experience.

Kyle Magner, RN

Director Of Clinical Research

Kyle possesses over 30 years of clinical research experience that has included studies conducted in large Boston medical institutions, private practices and independent research centers. She provides her clinical research expertise as an independent consultant to clinical research organizations (CRO), biotech companies, and professional research consultant firms.

Kathleen Todd Seymour, RN

Director Of Operations

Kathleen brings a strong background in business development and management to managing the research projects and organizing the day-to-day activities at CCRN. A dedicated research nurse, she assists clinical trial volunteers with their medical care and research procedures.

Lucia Raffa

Lead Clinical Research Coordinator

Lucia brings over 15 years’ experience in many areas of research, including smoking cessation, vaccines, migraines and obesity/weight loss. She previously worked in this role at Milford Emergency Associates.

Dr John Curran

Dr. Curran serves as Principal Investigator on trials related to gastroenterology, including irritable bowel disease-diarrhea, irritable bowel disease-constipation, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease. He performs endoscopic procedures at three local outpatient facilities and runs a busy private practice in Marlborough.

Dr. Anthony Puopolo

Dr. Puopolo serves as CCRN’s onsite Principal Investigator with over 30 years’ experience in clinical research, including studies in smoking cessation, multiple types of vaccines, migraines and obesity/weight loss. He was previously the owner of Milford Emergency Associates since 1984.

Dr. Jay Krasner 

Dr. Krasner serves as Principal or Sub-Investigator on trials in many therapeutic areas, such as diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, Lyme disease, neurology, infectious disease and medical devices. He also runs Wayside Health Associates, a thriving internal medicine practice in Sudbury.

Sarah Seymour

Clinical Research Assistant

A graduate of  Northeastern University with a B.S in Behavioral Neuroscience, Sarah  worked in a Neurobiology lab at Harvard Medical School while pursuing her degree. After graduation, she continued her work as research coordinator for a public health study exploring the use of databases across sectors to address the Massachusetts Opioid Crisis. 

Lauryn Magner, RN

Lauryn has served in multiple roles at CCRN since 2008. After receiving her BSN from NYU in 2014, she worked for both CCRN and at UMass Memorial Medical Center as a chemo-certified oncology nurse. She recently returned to NYU as a candidate in the Advanced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Masters program with a sub-specialty in palliative care.

Rebecca Seymour

Clinical Research Assistant

Rebecca is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She has experience as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at WPI on a continuing research project examining the anti-breast cancer properties of Artemisinin.
